Bourbon

Anyone have some insight on Rare character limited releases? My local shop had a very nice store pick, and I’m tempted to try some of their limited releases. It’s a higher price point, but if it’s anything like the single barrel I had, I’d gladly pay it.
The one I have was pretty damn good. If you can get it for under $100 it is probably worth it.

Have you tried the little book infinite yet? Im interested in hearing your thoughts.
It’s funny you ask that…
I had a few pours of OF10 and W12 while out to dinner with our insurance broker in December of 2024. The “bar manager” came to our table and said we had to try the Little Book Infinite and it was on the house. I tried it and loved it, although I was a handful of pours deep at that point.

Fast forward a couple weeks, and I had the opportunity to buy the Little Book Infinite OR Bookers the Reserve 2024. I knew the latter was “worth more”, but I knew I liked the Infinite and wanted to prove I wasn’t a tater so I went with the infinite. In the few months after that, I saw the infinite for sale 10 times and have never seen the Reserve on a retail shelf since then 😂

Overall, I really like it. To me, it drinks like a gentleman’s bookers. It doesn’t punch you with nuttiness, but that nutty tone is still very present. It has that hot finish like all Booker’s, but again, the gentleman’s version. With an MSRP of $200 (if I remember right), it’s a ‘buy once and don’t be in a hurry to finish it’ bottle. I’d probably rather have one of these than two standard Booker’s batches.

Honestly, I wish I would have bought the 2024 Reserves and then the Infinite at another time, but that’s part of the chase. Hindsight is 20/20.

You have inspired me for a pour of it tonight.

Cheers 🥃

Its funny.

I hated it. Worst beam product ever IMO. I ending up mixing my 1/2 bottle wih coke. And I generally like the little books.

I have blinded myself with 2 different bookers and knob single barrel and knob 12. I picked out knob 12 at proof alone but couldnt tell the difference between bookers and knob single. Ive kinda given up on bookers and just by the knob single barrel which is generally 8-10 yrs old. One of the bookers was the mighty fine batch, I cant remember the other one without digging for pictures.
