Bourbon

Sub topic if that's allowed?

"Travel" bourbon? A bit for the pack to celebrate a successful hunt.

What flask? I have a cheapie that I loaded with Beam last time and, when time came to have a drink, it had a metallic flavor that, while not entirely unpleasant, certainly wasn't what I wanted.

I use the small ones filled with something from the store. I drink what's in them and fill them with my choice. I think they're 200 ML?

I have drank one bottle that was delicious and I have one on the shelves. Did yours have a prominent taste of stewed apples?
It actually did have some “apple” to it. Became perfectly sweet after the initial crack. I will be looking for another as this one didn’t last long. Made some progress after 6 days during the duck hunting trip.

Professional size / multi day -

Going out size - I pulled the rubber ring and the double sided tape off so it slips in my pocket easier and makes it a bit thinner. Non metallic so goes through metal detectors fine.

I have one small one and one big one that can hold 6oz "samples" or 3oz. Its great to travel with but they heavy as hell due to the glass.

The big one will hold and bottle and the small one a half a bottle. I would highly reccomend the aged and ore bottle flight. I use mine when traveling domesically alot. I havent had any problem getting the small one through TSA in my carry on. However just know you might get "that guy" one day.

I keep a bottle caddy in my backseat for when I go shopping.

And holy shit they are now making a travel humidor that will fit in the big one.

I have 4 sets of the spirts flight. You can pour yourself blind pour if you are careful. I find doing blinds helps me cut through the hype.

The travel decanter wasnt so great IMO.

These are perfect. I was eyeing the Yeti one, but woooof, Yeti is awfully proud of their stuff.

I have a ton of yeti stuff and love it. Im not a big enough fan boi to buy their cast iron pan though. But lightweight it aint. The nalgene flask is where its at weight wise. The heaviest thing about it is the liquid in it so if you want it to weigh less put less juice in it. Also metal flasks just dont work well for a night on the town with all the places that have metal detectors now.

Found the stagg at nc abc just before leaving the states
