Bore Guide These Days

Curious what the latest and greatest is in the bore guide world these days? Back in 2014 I emailed a guy and he made a bore guide for my 300 win mag. I've now picked up a 7prc so need to get a new bore guide but not sure what the current status is on the preferred/best bore guide out there caliber specific?

You only need a bore guide if you're going to clean your gun.

I don't know if he is still doing them but email Mike Lucas [email protected] tell him what you have and see if he can get you fixed up with whatever you need. I have numerous Lucas bore guides and Mike makes nice stuff but he may be getting up there in age and I'm not sure if he still is making bore guides or not. Email him and see if you get a response.

I’ve been happy with my Lucas bore guides. They are custom made for your action and cleaning rod diameter.

I picked up a PMA bore guide for my 7 PRC, not the cheapest but super well made. They're action and cartridge specific.

lucas has had health problems and retired. brownells sells a sinclair that is sort of similar.
the pma is outstanding.

I also use the Possum Hollow.

I called them up, told them
The various actions and cartridges I have and they fixed me up quickly.
