Bore brushes?

It can hurt. Make sure you use bore guides and a good rod. I’d guess more barrels are ruined by the break in process than helped over crappy cleaning practices and supplies.
Two douche responses with no help to the OP’s question. I know you have learned a lot about guns while playing call of duty but leave the real advice to people who build and shoot real guns. 😂

I have both bronze and nylon. Various brands. One thing I look for is that they have some sort of marking that indicates what caliber they are. I have quite a few deer rifles with different calibers. At minimum if it's a set the organizer or holder needs to have the caliber on it. Most of mine are Tipton sets. I have a few I carry along on hunts in a make shift travel cleaning kit. I keep those in their original packaging even after I use them so I can identify them. I been hunting for about 40 years or more so keeping different things organized and identifiable is necessary. I sure aint going to remember what something is 10 years down the road. I cant even remember I have it or why. It sure was much easier when all I had was a 12 gauge with two barrels and a 30-06 rifle for the first 15 years.
