I’m probably overthinking this, but whatever it’s May and tis the season to over analyze.
I drew a tag in a bordering state and I’m wondering whether there’s value in securing a tag in the bordering unit right across the state line in my home state. It isn’t where I normally hunt in my home state but my thought is I’ll be up there anyways for the lengthy neighboring state tag and will get a good idea of the area and elk patterns. And ultimately, I would have flexibility that other hunters wouldn’t by being able to cross the border during a couple of the season dates…
Has anybody employed such a strategy? Worth it? Not worth it?
