Boots for Large men

I am a large individual and have been hunting for years, I wear thru boots like crazy compared to my others in my hunting group. I am trying to find a good boot that will hold up to 300lbs side hilling. Any suggestions? We usually do between 7 and 15 miles a day when hunting. I have tried expensive boots and cheaper boots. I also haven't tried kenetrex but an nervous of the breakin period.

Whatever you do, don’t wear anything that looks remotely like fur because you will surely be shot in a mistaken Bigfoot identification.

6'7' 240 pounds and then add a pack I probably hit your 300 pound mark. I wear really stiff Scarpa Mountaineering boots and am now going to Zamberlan boots this fall. I put the green superfeet insoles in all as well. My last pair of Scarpa boots lasted really well. Just trying something new with Zamberlan. Good luck in your search.

Curious, do you have uneven wearing of your boots? If you do, might want to look into arch supports, could help with the life of your boots

Mine took a couple hikes to break in but now they are like putting on an old friend.

These aren't like the flimsy day hiker style, they have a little bit of heft to them, great ankle support and you just might find like I did that once you condition your leg and feet to them your feet feel better at the end of the day

6'5" 230. I'm certain with a pack I've been 300lbs a few times. Xero Ridgeways and Topo Athletic Terraventures/Trailventures size 14 for the win!

Curious, do you have uneven wearing of your boots? If you do, might want to look into arch supports, could help with the life of your boots

Had the Baltoro Lites out a few times now. I really like the stiffness. Less stiff than the Scarpas but very good on rocky trails so far. And a nice height.

I do the green superfeet insoles just for comfort. They are a bit thicker than all factory insoles and just seem to help with overall comfort. Good luck.
