I have the same issue and the best boot I've found was the Lathrop and sons.

This is what worked for me as well - same exact heel issue. Pricey, but entirely worth it.

In the meantime, get a role of moleskin. Cut a piece and attach it to your foot at the area where it is rubbing.

I don’t even care if I sound like a baby back bitch, pedicures feel great. I don’t get them often, but I’m secure enough to be completely honest about it.

Pedicures are the best kept secret in the world by women. It's amazing how much better your feet are - especially if you have foot problems to begin with. You don't have to give up your man card to get one. They're great.
