might be a little old school but I've always used Redwing mink oil on all my boots and its always worked great. Granted I hunt in Fl and Se GA and nothing works better than in swamp than rubber boots..but I realize that's probably not why you're asking.

I use Obenaufs Water Shield spray on my Salomon boots. My all leather boots get Obenaufs LP or oil.

I would be careful what product I put on my leather boots if they have a rubber rand. Some products will dissolve the glue on the rand and you will have it peeling off. I only use Kennetrek boot wax...which is made by Obenaufs on my leather boots for that reason.
