I am looking to take advantage of some of the Memorial Day sales and pick up some new boots. I run the Kenetrek Mountain Extremes for elk hunting but would like to find a pair of boots for early season antelope, mule deer, and off season hiking. I have wide feet so a generous toe box is a must. What do you guys recommend? I tried a few models from Crispi but it appears that they tent to run narrow/small.

Salmon Quest 4d GTX. I have yet to see anyone call the boot uncomfortable or heard of the boot give anyone foot problems. I need a wide toe box and the salmons definetly have it.

No break in needed. You could pull them out of the box at the trail head and be fine. (Wouldn't recommend it though lol)

I could wear them every single day, that's how comfy they are. Like wearing sturdy sneakers.

The boots only flaws are that they are by no means waterproof. My first pair was, for about 30 days. The pair I am wearing now my feet get wet in damp grass, granted they are worn with lots of miles. Some guys claim years of waterproofing but not most.

I don't think you would regret those boots for your intended purpose.
