Ordered a pair of Crispi Lapponias and Summits for my September archery elk hunt. Summits felt completely wrong and I sent them back. The Lapponias fit well, weren’t slipping while walking around the house or climbing the stairs. Wore them for probably 30 minutes before deciding to keep them. They were worn with Darn Tough medium weight hiking socks.
I’ve now worn them several times (roughly 20-25 miles, asphalt and off road) and they are eating my heels up, right where my Achilles attaches to my heels. Feet are fine other than this one spot. Tried moleskin today and they wore blisters on my heels through the moleskin. It feels like the heel cup is curved in and stabbing into my heels through. There’s still no slippage, sizing is right, lacing them tight but not too tight.
Anything else I can try short of buying another boot? Pretty sure I can’t return these since they’ve been worn outside.
