Boot break-in and blisters.. how long do I give them?

Seriously, ditch them. Get an accurate foot measurement and re-order.
I’m 50, and the only boots that left a blister were ones I shouldn’t of been wearing. Kennetriks.
Years I wore I size 10 normal in Danners.
Found out I’m a size 9.5d. Fit great now.

You keep saying that the boots fit right but yet your getting blisters so the boots don't fit you. I would say your reputable dealer isn't all that reputable or you didn't give him the information he needed to fit you right.
With a stiffer mountain boot like the Rapace it's not just about having the right size. Everybody's feet are shaped different, and some models/brands just will not work for certain foot shapes.

Trying not to sound like an A hole or something, but in all my years of hunting and hiking( which is over 50yrs ) I have never gotten a blister on my feet. I have worn everything from cheep leather boots, good leather boots, pacs, tennis shoes, and now expensive mountaineering boots. But I also spend a lot of time barefoot, if I don't need to wear shoes I don't wear them. I can walk across gravel, rocks, and sticks and not have it hurt. What I am trying to say is I don't think people keep their feet in shape so when it comes time to really use them they are not tough enough for the job. Or I have been extremely lucky.

I usually give a pair of boots a longer grace period than I should. If I'm getting hot spots, I'll experiment a bit before giving up on the boots. Sometimes it can be as simple as a snug/thin liner sock to minimize/eliminate the problem. You may want to try a piece of mole skin on the hot spot as well. Possibly a combination of both. If it helps, I go a while and then try without again to see if the additional break in improved the situation. Also, by addressing hot spots on your feet, your slowly breaking in your feet to the boot. When hunting, I almost always wear a liner and start with mole skin where I'm prone to hot spots.
