Bolt fluting

Who do you recommend for fluting a M700 SA bolt? Thanks

Karl has done many for me and he not only does great work with blazing fast turn around times but Karl is a hell of a nice guy too.

Others probably do great work as well but Karl has always done me right so I've never had a need to use anyone else.

Paul at Pro Prec fluted and skeletonized one recently for a job and as usual it came out great. He’ll only do factory bolts, no aftermarket.

I have had LRI do two Rem bolts for me and Paul has done a Tikka bolt for me. All turned out great. Based on the threading work I have had Karl do, I am sure his work is exceptional as well.

Another vote for Karl @ Kampfeld Customs. He has done probably a dozen for me over the years and all have been perfect. I really like his TI flute with the flutes cerakoted graphite black!

I can’t believe no one has recommended Marty at twisted barrel. He has done several REM 700 bolts for me. Reasonably priced and fast turnaround.

LRI and Kampfeld are deservedly lauded, but this kind of work is squarely in Marty's wheelhouse. I went to visit him and pick up some work in Douglas WY this week, and was nothing but impressed with the man and his work.

I’ve used LRI, twisted barrel and now kampfeld. They’ve all done great work but Kampfeld will be getting any fluting work of mine from here on out. As already stated he does great work fast turnaround and is a very knowledgeable person to talk to. Plus he’s in Idaho which is a bonus for me.

I had submoa firearms out of Utah flute a bolt and thread for a bolt knob. I shipped it out and had it back in a week. Turned out great and they were super easy to deal with.
