Blowgun hunting hogs

Well with deer season in NE Florida in the books I decided to try something new for me. Purchased a blowgun and plenty of darts to go with it. For me so far 10 yards is a comfortable range that I feel I can be successful at.

Been practicing everyday for about a hour and getting really good at aiming and holding on point. Hogs are the targets and right now it’s a target rich environment.

My practice ranges have been 5 yards, 7 yards, and. 10 yards.

this is wild. whats next? bite a rattlesnake and dip your darts in its venom or something?

I have heard that if you loosen up the darts a bit it is easier to get a pass through/more depth with just the broadhead and not the cones. Never tried it though.

Hard pass on the rattlesnake….as far as next not sure yet. I’m probably going stick with hogs for a while they have overrun are small piece of property.

Yes that is correct I have been doing that to help with getting the dart in good

I have been bowhunting hogs and javelina for a few years, hunting them with a blowgun is pretty sweet man
