How often do you guys see blonde bears? I think this is the first one I've seen that has been so light in color. Had two cubs with her, both dark black coats.

Hunted Canada and had some with blonde streaks down the back. Pretty neat looking bears.

It seems to be regional. Some areas I hunt I see black only, and in other areas there are way more color phase.

Rarely here in PA. It has been a very long time since I’ve seen a blonde. IIRC

This year in WY I saw a mom with 3 cubs. She and 2 of the cubs were a mottled grayish blonde and the 3rd cub was jet black.

Western Oregon, almost never. Eastern Oregon, fairly often. Seems like wet places have fewer than dry places.

I've got game camera pics of one last year and she had a dark cub with her. She was all blonde with dark ears and paws IIRC.

Washington is the same, haven’t seen one on the west side that I can remember, but on the eastside they are not that uncommon.

Hunted one exclusively for two full seasons before finally arrowing him on the third year. Prettiest bear I’ll likely ever kill.
