Blisters at same spot on BOTH feet

Been wearing Hanwag Alverstones for a few years and lots of miles on them. The most comfortable boot I own. However, yesterday I went on a moderate 7 mile hike and noticed some hotspots on the outside/base of both big toes. I’ve never experienced this before in these boots.
The only thing I have done different is I changed the laces recently and maybe I had them over tight at the base of the boot?

I would show a picture of the feet/blisters, but this is the wrong site for that I think ;)

Every component of a boot can change fit, even laces. Some laces have more stretch than others and depending on how tight you pull em I could see it slightly changing the boot fit.

Ya, something definitely changed or I was walking different on this hike. My wife seems to think that maybe with terrain I walked alittle different causing both feet to have same exact blister.
