Question: I need explanation on the Blaser process. So this is the stock, then you need a receiver, bolt, and a barrel, correct? À la carte?

Kinda correct
This is the stock receiver - its the serialized part
You then need a bolt housing (RH or LH), a bolt face (I can help you with this, or you can use the chart below) and a barrel.
Super easy build, you can essentially have 10 guns in 1

For the first time in my life I believe I got in early enough on something. I began building my Blaser battery over 10 years ago. They are incredible pieces of engineering. Nothing better that traveling 1000s and 1000s of miles with it all broken down in pieces, putting it all back together out of its tiny secure case and everything being perfect.

What is the weight of the stock? Are you including the trigger group in the weight?

Have you weighed the Rifle in the 243 configuration (minus scope and mount)?

Thanks.
Around 6-7 lbs with a 20" barrel
The weights on blasers are flexible, changing the bolt handles alone moves it a couple ounces.
Pretty much all r8 builds with a std contour barrel are sub 7 lb

Is the 2.0 a steel or aluminum chassis? The earlier stocks had either option. Additionally, can we buy the stock LOP modules and change them out ourselves?

Is the 2.0 compatible with my existing r8 barrels, bolts, and trigger housing?

Do you need a trigger housing as well or no?
The stock/receivers come with a trigger housing. I noticed on my 2.0 that they changed the trigger/mag housing to plastic. It’s aluminum on my older ones. The old ones interchange without issue.

Aluminum chassis. It’s about 1/4 pound lighter than the previous R8 pro. All of the parts interchange. Barrels, bolts, trigger housings, scope mounts. I’ve been told that the lop is user adjustable with a module purchase but I have not seen them or verified.

They are aluminum, no steel chassis in the 2.0’s yet but they are soon to come.

Almost all R8 stock receivers come with trigger housings. All you need to finish out the rifle is barrel, corresponding bolt face, and bolt assembly
I’ll email euro to buy one tomorrow, sounds good to me.
I believe it was your email that my coworker sent to me today to ask me the answers to your questions.. lol.

Haha. Almost undoubtedly. I’ll come in with another question:

Do kick stops from the 1.0 professional interface with the 2.0?

Not as important as the LOP modules, but still I think a reasonable question.

No, no kick stops on the 2.0 as of right now
Sorry didn’t see the LOP question, there is no LOP modules available at the moment but I’m sure this will change in the future

Everything else works, if you are running anything other than the standard contour barrel tell Mike you need the safari contour which is opened up to 22mm for the match barrels.

The 2.0’s are going to be built off of going forward and will eventually have all the accoutrements of the gen 1 in a nicer package.
We have the silence barrels & 2.0 silence stocks on the way as well
