This has probably been talked about before but does anyone have any issues with their bladder hose freezing up? I have an insulated cover on but wasn't sure how well it would work in below freezing temps.

This is a problem for me in the winter when snowshoeing, when done drinking I blow the water back into the bladder so no water is in the tube.

The only time mine has ever frozen up was while skiing in temps around 10°. Between those temps and the wind chill it would freeze up in a matter of minutes. It's been a few years but if I remember right it was just the bite valve that would freeze up as I would blow the excess water back into the bladder so it wasn't sitting in the tube. That way I could suck on the valve for a minute to unthaw it. When it gets really cold I usually pack a nalgene these days.

I have no issues with mine in freezing temps.
Course the whiskey in it probably helps. ha, ha. ;)

But seriously, yes we all have issues with freezing.
Sure killer for inline filters to.

When temps drop, I use a bottle.

Thats why I dont have no bladders.

I got given one last year, was awesome till I took it ona moose hunt. Froze solid, split the bag.

Bottles the only way

How many bottles are you guys carrying? I'm drinking 6+ L a day when I'm moving a lot. 2-3L bladders and a nalgene are on me at all times and I'm looking to refill before, or on the way out of camp, every morning. No way could I carry 6 nalgenes easily.
