Looking to pick up some heavier base layers for a late season spike hunt. Looking at the Black Ovis Tuscarora and Keele series.
Tuscarora is listed as a 200 weight and Keele is listed as a 250 weight.

Anyone worn both? is the Keele notably warmer? I like the Zip off ability of the Tuscarora but will likely be in the snow and spending time glassing so I want to me able to keep warm.

The Keele is substantially warmer, and itchy AF next to skin. Of the two, definitely go Tuscarora for what you've described; the Keele is more appropriate as a mid layer.

I agree with @Drenalin the Keele is much warmer. I wouldn't say itchy AF but moreso than others. Merino doesn't really bother me like some though. I'm not sure with the Tuscarora but the Keele and older BO models fit VERY tight. I'm normally a large in First Lite, large to XL in Kuiu and I'm a 2XL in the Keele.
