Black ovis/camofire going out of business?

Shit. I've been super happy with my Crispi Kenais and I've been thinking I should have a backup pair.

Hopefully a transition and not full closure. Likely a buy out, but dang that sucks. They had some great deals and what seemed like a great model. Just scored some Crispi Kenais from them two weeks ago. Hopefully they bounce back in a different form…

seems like they had a decent amount of inventory still on the site? where’s it all going? I could use some of the merino tech gloves. They aren’t very durable but they’re warm for what they are.

Someone fill me in. What is the “Muley Freak stuff”?

They continued to sell muley freak branded products and would even go so far as to defend muley freak in spite of a pattern of bad behavior. I hope it’s not just a transition and that those of us who’ve stopped buying from camofire and blackovis since cost them enough they went broke

Convicted trespassing, shooting a deer.

Crying in court like a baby.

Several big threads on it I believe.

Don’t own any kryptek ether.
I dont know the story enough to have a dog in the argument, and i dont have a problem at all with letting your money talk but i do have a genuine question.

What company doesn't have some ties to someone who has committed a violation, or is anti or at least questionable background? Is there a hunting clothing manufacturer out there that can say that? Especially since most of the "big names" seem to get busted.
Extra credit if theres one that is also semi affordable for folks like me who cant afford to spend a $1000 on a set of rain gear

I’m not sure of all the nuance.
I’ll also give doubt for those only accused.

But when I can clearly see a conviction, I’ll spend my money elsewhere.

Moosie’s catch and release camo. Small growing company. Located in Nampa, ID. Prices are far lower than the big names. No influencers pimping their gear. And since they are local to the community here I see them giving back regularly.

Never heard of them, but ill check em out.

Hmmm 🤔 seems rather sudden, we can speculate all we want but who knows? Seems like if they were just going out of business or chapter 11 they would fire sale everything? Maybe they got scooped up by PE and will be rebranding ( imo PE usually makes everything way way worse, profit squeezers just have that effect) I liked their merino stuff was priced well
