I need a bear expert's identification skills.
Claw marks are easily visible, but you'll have to zoom to make out toes and pads.
It's a hard track to make out, but I was thinking black because the claws don't seem long enough (marks too close to ends of toes) but line through toes seems similar to grizzly. A Montana native friend of mine who's a lot more bear experience than my own thought it was an awfully big track for a black.
His first impression was Grizzly, but admitted that it may well be a black.
Photo was taken yesterday in an area that is definitely possible for grizzly, but not high prob
I'm wearing a size 11.5 Kennetrek.
