Black Hills vs Nebraska Mule Deer Hunting

Most of the posts are spot on here. I grew up in Nebraska and loved to SD for college and been in S.D. ever since. The the changing draws always, hard enough for us to keep up with it let alone people wanting to do out of state hunts. It is so much fun hunting in the black hills of SD. Most of the deer don’t get as big out there though, body and antler size different areas of the hills have higher numbers of Mule deer, but the white tails are every as stated above. I can’t speak to Nebraska because I unfortunately didn’t venture out west when I was a resident. West river S.D. has some really good hunting for both white tails and mule deer. Plenty of land to hunt. However public Lang gets hit hard opening rifle. I went rifle hunting for the first time last year in a long time and decided to go second weekend (had the place to myself for one day at least). I talked to the manager of that public land ranch and he had counted 37 vehicles on the one side of that public spot the weekend before. Just something to think about. PM me if you have any questions.
