I just picked up the Davro & classic rifle adaptor. I'm going to try and bypass a bipod, and just shoot off my tri-pod. I'm hoping the adjustment will be smooth enough for me to replace my pan head and just use the Davros as a ball head to glass off of.

Missed the sale unfortunately, but considering this setup as well. Had a chance to see how you like it?

My plan would be to use the Davros/adapter combo with my Sirui/VA-5 tripod. Use Davros on QR plate for switching between optics/rifle. And if I like the setup, buy a Javelin bipod and have 2 rifles setup for either Tripod/Davros or Javelin bipod.

I bought the optics adapter. It’s not quite smooth enough for me to use as a stand alone ball head. I will however use it as a shooting tripod with a quick disconnect on my Pan head. Shoot off my pack for prone shots, use tripod and davros for seated shots.

Drew up and 3D printed this arca plate/spartan adapter. I also did not want to give up my fluid head. Wonder if Spartan precision will ever produce this?
