Black eagle focos system

They are made well, but I hate how long they are. The longer the outsert, the more problems they cause with spine issues. It is nice being able to index the broadhead however you want.

I miss their old stainless outsert which was a lot shorter.

There is a reason that the QAD broadhead is loved so much. Compare that with a 3" broadhead that planes so much easier.

Reviving this thread to ask a related question:

Has anyone figured out a good way to remove the insert after they are glued in? I made some heavy arrows last season with the all steel FOCOS and have decided I’m going to stick with X-impact + standard outserts going forward. Now I’m stuck with almost a dozen perfectly good shafts and can’t knock the focos insert back out. I have tried slinging a steel dowel down the inside of the shaft to hammer them out but that has yet to work. Any thoughts? They’re glued in, not hot melt.

Pretty sure you’re SOL. I tried getting out some glued in HITs years ago and pretty much ruined every arrow. I used the drill bit method.
