Anybody had experience with this piece? Looks similar to the first lite sawtooth, which I bought in the recent turkey sale. Love to know what peoples experience is, warmth, fit, breathability etc. and if its comparable to any other pieces. Thanks folks,
Rob.

So I have the sawtooth and my wife has the black diamond deployment hybrid hoody (more like the sawtooth). The deployment uses more merino and the BD first light hoody seems to have more insulation.

It's not exactly the comparison you want but...

I would be ok to bust brush in the saw tooth due to the merino sleeves and lack of insulation on the outside of shoulders and arms.

I think my wife would start getting getting rips through that insulating fabric. She likes her hoody for fall walks and it looks like it'd be a bit warmer than the sawtooth (insulation and maybe thicker merino).

That first light hoody looks awesome but I'd buy it for a skiing layer or for walking to work in the cool when there is no precipe.

Black diamond make great gear and I think you'd use it a lot but unless you're in open country I think you'd use it more for everyday life and less for hunting.

Hopefully some can chime in that owns there exact jacket as I'm curious to hear their experience.
