I was not able to find a review on this jacket, and I like enough that I'm adding one.
In August I went out to Washington to climb Mt. Ranier. Difficult mountain with extreme temperature and weather variation. I bought this jacket as a mid layer. In this model, BD partnered with Schroder fabrics to create a jacket that kept you at a reasonable temp. Regardless of how cold temps were or how hard you you tried to work up a sweat. Temps ranged between 0-40 with winds gusting 30mph. This was my primary outer layer above 7k feet. Traveled over 7 miles uphill through snow and ice. Not only did I not suffer from over heating, but I didn't freeze from the winds or low temps. I've never seen a mid layer perform this good from extreme physical exertion. Its coated with DWR, and indeed sheds moisture. I'm sure it wouldn't do well in heavy rain. It's a few ounces more than arcterix micro puff, but is much cheaper. 2 mountains, its shown zero wear, even packs up into it's own pocket. Although it's not designed with hunting in mind, alpine climbing is just as hard on gear. I just wanted to share my experiences and thoughts on this jacket. BD calls it a hoody, but its definitely more.
