He asked for eVent or equivalent... in my recent test of the Borah the M90 is a comparable fabric. Breathes well, didn't soak through after 2+ hours in a heavy rain storm, and I didn't have any condensation in it after sleeping in it with damp merino boxers, socks, and a merino top. Even slept in 70* weather inside it and didn't sweat too bad and it breathed well throughout the night.

Last weekend had a thunderstorm come over me sleeping under a nice pine tree using the borah bivy, when I woke up my bag was soaked under the borah bivy. I had a rain coat over the net window while I slept.
The Borah is good under a tarp, but not without in my opinion.

Not necessarily the lightest, but Integral Designs makes a couple of eVent bivy's that weight from 16 to 23 oz. I have their Bugaboo model which has only been rained on once but I stayed completely dry as did my bag. Condensation in the bivy is minimal but I usually use mine with the Integral Designs SilDome tarp tent.

M90 or momentum 90 is a great fabric, but it is not quite as good as event. I have a m90 "bivy"/hammock sock i use with my hammock some times, and have had it for a couple years now. I agree it breathes well, and for the cheaper price point is well worth it. I have had some minor condensation issues, but i do mean very minor.

The big downside to momentum/m90 is it is only classified as water resistant, so if exposed to anything more than a light rain it may begin to leak through. If your using the bivy with a tarp, m90 would be an excellent choice.

So while m90 is not event, it should certainly be in the running if your looking for a lightweight breathable bivy. Especially if you want to say a few $$.

I wont be giving up my bugaboo any time soon. After finally using an event bivy I was amazed how well it preformed compared to others.

That nestor bivy made by ID looks interesting to me as well. Enough room to read/get dressed or eat. Just a little heavy.
