Thinking about my upcoming bison hunt this fall and kind of wondering who has shot one with archery tackle and what broadhead did you use?

Wild Utah Henry Mt Bison (NR draw tag) back around 26 years ago....shot the bull with a Zwickey 4-blade Delta head on a 23-15 XX75 Easton aluminum shaft. Total arrow weight around 515 grains, flying at 238 fps, stabilized with 5" feathers, 70# PSE XLR900 40" finger bow.

35 yd shot at the slightly quartering away bull that made it about another 35 yards before piling up. Full penetration and great performance from the shaving sharp Zwickey broadhead.

I have not shot one but a customer did, 65lb bow 460 grain arrow and a thunderhead 125, passthrough at 30 yards on a high fence young bull.

I know, not a bison...but, I shot a Musk Ox with a 525 grain arrow tipped with a QAD Exodus flying around 270 fps. Full passthrough twice. Shot him at 32 yards and 45 yards.
