Bison get another one in Yellowstone

It may be because they aren't around wild animals enough to recognize the behavior. They see a buff thrashing around and rolling all over the ground and they think he's playing because their Golden Retriever at home acts that way. A hunter who's familiar with wild animal behavior immediately recognizes that's not playing, he's hopped up on testosterone and ready to fight.

When I used to work as a fishing guide the sports would see a Moose and inevitably want me to get the boat closer. I'd have to tell them that ain't Bullwinkle and he isn't nearly as entertained with you as you are of him. They simply had zero concept of how fast and aggressive a wild animal like that can be if you get too close and they decide to attack.
My first reaction to this vid was when the bison started rolling. That was alarming, at least for me. The second I saw that I would have bailed. I also would never get that close by choice.

Hope the man gets better soon. That was a big toss. Not even a 20 year old is getting up to rest from that one.

It seems that he was conventionally of a safe distance at least with respect to how close some people tend to want to get to Bison with no reaction. That was one cranky bull.

Pretty smooth moves dodging through the trees. Good movement for an older gentleman. Nice air on the dismount, too. Cartwheel appeared to nearly complete one full rotation. Didn’t stick the landing, though. 8.3 out of 10.

I don't see how people say he didn't deserve this? He was outside of his car taking pictures, there are signs everywhere telling you not to get out of your cars. Old man or not I don't feel sorry for him.

I said I kinda feel bad but correct anyone that gets truck stocked by bison in Yellowstone I 90% don’t feel a little bad lol this guy gets 10% remorse because I was taught to respect my elders and he gave a good run for it 🤣

That’s a monster rutted up bull. Having lived near there and countless visits, nothing surprises me in Jellystone. Hope the old guy the best in healing up.

I have zero context. But it looked to me like a grandpa walking with his grandson, maybe to a bathroom. And he went hey, look at that! Uh oh. And it was too late. The bull initially charged the white pickup and then redirected.

I think people like to play Monday morning qb. "Let me tell you, no way I throw that interception. Back in my day, I could throw a football over them mountains!"

Say what you will I've lived in MT my whole life and been to Jellystone many many times guess what I've never been close to getting thrown by a fluffy cow!! I've watched the video numerous times and you can try and make up excuses all day long for the poor old guy but that won't stop me from laughing at him for not doing the right thing and getting or staying within safety for him and his grandson

That guy was plenty far away by pretty much every standard. That was just one seriously pissed off bison who really wanted to **** someone up. It's not often (pretty much never) I feel badly for Yellowstone tourons who get blasted by bison, but I definitely feel badly for this guy, he didn't deserve that imo
