What’s a good lighter bipod for hunting and some bench shooting? I’ve got pic rails and would like to have the option while hunting or bench shooting if I wanted to utilize it. Thanks!

I have been using a MTN gear mountain bipod for the last 3 years with complete satisfaction. I use it year round for coyote hunting, big game and for bench work and so far haven't had an issue.

A few of us that all hunt together use the Javelin pro hunt tac. We like that it’s light and it doesn’t stay on the rifle since it goes on and off in seconds allowing us to carry it in a pocket or backpack until needed.

I like my hatch a lot. On and off in seconds. Tall enough to shoot seated on the ground. Quick adjustments but still sturdy. It wouldn't be my first choice for benchrest though.

Thanks for all the opinions fellas. I really appreciate it. I just finished setting up my Alamo 7prc last night and will be sighting in soon. I’ll have to look into Hatch. I haven’t heard of those….

I havnt seen a great bipod.
Seems like theyre all a little bit wonky in some aspect. Theres some annoying design flaw you have to put up with. Its not like a tripod where theres bunch of great ones that you cant complain about at all.

Ive been using a hatch recently. Dont think its any better or worse than the mtn gear before it.

If im going varmint shooting or range I’ll take my old $100-150 harris every time.

The only difference I’ve really experienced is a $400-500 bipod is quick to get on off and stores easily on me somewhere. Thats all I’m paying for. IMO there is no $300 more stability or adjustability noticeable.

i ran B&T's for a few years and i just switched to the gunwerks. works great only comment is i wish they had a arca version
