Opinions on which binos ad what size to carry on chest during Back country hunt. Either gonna swaro, zeiss, or lecia. Feel like I can’t go wrong with either of these three.

I like my swaro 8.5's. They're great for anything from looking for elk in the timber while still hunting, or for those 4 hour long glassing sessions trying to turn up a mulie a long ways away in the sage. Just my preference.

General rule for us out west is 10's on the chest and 15's on a tripod. Some guys are running 12's and a compact spotter to save weight. Cant really got wrong with either combo. I'm hoping to get a better spotter this year but I'm running 15's and a spotter unless I'm tree stand hunting then ill run my 10s. Hope this helps. use the same set up for deer and elk.

I've switched to Swarovski habicht 30mm bins to save weight from my meopta 8x42s.

Since you're backcountry hunting, you'll likely be packing more than a days worth of gear. If you're covering a lot of ground, every oz adds up.

The Nikon EDG 32 sometimes sell for $6-700, and they're highly rated glass.

What is your tripod setup? Will you be bringing a spotter too?

Find a budget that works for you and that will really narrow down what optics you will be looking at. There is a lot of good information out there.

I had vortex viper 10×42...they were very nice but I got bit by Swarovski bug. Went to 10x42 SLCs. They are extremely clear and give me the ability to see more are the dusk/dawn time periods. Details are very nice.
I also changed my vortex spotter to Swarovski ATX ..
