Something else to consider would be a pair of Minox 10x43hg. Very good German made glass. Doug from camera land gave me a sweet deal on these a 5 or so years ago and I just recently upgraded to Swaro 10x42els. I still can't say enough about how much I liked the Minox since they were my 1st "good" binos.

Hands down, no question, get SLCs. Between now and Christmas is a great time to find deals... They are on sale at Cabelas right meow.

Ah, I seen those on the classifieds. Too bad they're 8 otherwise I'd probably snap them up. I'm dead set on 10s.
