I noticed mine have some small scratches that are annoying when the sun is out. Anyone ever used a polish, or know of a coating that may fill them in and last maybe a week at a time? Or am I just s.o.l.

Who is the mfg? I've never heard of anything that is DYI, but some manufacturers will repair at a reasonable cost.

Share the feedback from Nikon, I'm sure others are interested in their customer service.

Update. Contacted Nikon customer service and there is no warranty for scratches. Its viewed as wear and tear / miss use. This was mainly since they are 10 years old. I got the impression if they were newer nikon may have done something for customer satisfaction. As far as repair goes, nothing will remove scratches from hard surfaces with out distortion. They said applying a coating that is non abrasive may temporally fill in the scratches.
Reading the warranty info that came with it, it does state abuse and wear & tear are not covered. Also a 30 day no question exchange if retailer does not offer an exchange. They did assure me that if I do have a legit warranty in the future it would not be voided due the scratches.

I'm happy with the response. It's with in the written warranty and we're not talking high end binoculars.
