Bino harness

I have the S4 gear and currently looking to upgrade as the straps are getting stretched out. Looking at Kuiu Pro. Waiting for them to be available online again.

I use the Outdoor Vision bio harness and don't plan on changing for a long time. I love how it offers full protection for your bios. The way the flap opens front ways and stays open while your using your binos is also great. 10/10 recommend

I used AGC for a couple years and then one evening whitetail hunting I finally got tired of the interference with the rear opening lid and ordered a Marsupial and loved it. I was cognizant however of it not having a full coverage, and while it wasn't a serious situation, I did get frustrated one time trying to find a stand in a swamp where everything looks the same because the magnet was affecting the compass on my phone. Cost me 10 minutes and 100 yards of walking in the wrong direction, not a huge deal, but still made me wary of it. Then I saw someone post a Kuiu Pro here for a decent price and snagged it to try...I sold the Marsupial quickly, and the XL is too big for my Leupold BX4 10x50's so I've been hunting a Large for a couple weeks and none ever pop up for sale (I've seen a couple gray ones but I'm holding out for a Major Brown). When they come back in stock at Kuiu I'm going to snatch one up quick. It's a well done harness. I still have my AGC for a backup or for if I ever want to really stuff a lot of crap in one as I have the Kodiak CUB Max with pockets everywhere.

Run the Sitka harness right now it’s quite and slim but it has zippers to close the lid and not a ton of room other than your Binos. Alaska guide creations would be my other choice.

I've heard that the badlands harness is a little loud when the magnets snap shut - any input on that?

It has good reviews but I haven't found anyone here that has tried one. A couple of guys have used the older version but not this version. Anybody running this harness?

+ excellent coverage (dusty area and/or atv)
+ lots of room
+ best build quality (imo)
+ widely available
- hangs low (can be remedied with UL harness $25)
- kinda big

FHF
+ sleek, high up
+ excellent quality (close to AGC)
+ best looking (imo)
+ decent coverage of lenses
- less storage
- expensive and hard to get in stock

Mystery Ranch Quick Draw
+ lower price
+ flap folds back and stays (magnet iirc)
+ medium amount of storage
+ good coverage (when closed)
- straps kinda thin and uncomfortable with thin clothing (only an issue in light shirt)
- kinda sticks out forward if you load it up with stuff

Marsupial
+ sleek, high up
+ forward opening
- flap is well above lenses and doesn’t cover them super well (issue on atv or in dusty, windy area)
- less storage space

I really like my Alps Outdoorz Harness. I like that is has a hook and loop closure, not a magnet. I put my Swaro 10x42 ranges in them and it holds well. They are snug, but still slide in and out easily.

This bino harness costs less than most, but I feel the quality ranks up there. Paired with the rangefinder pocket they are perfect for my archery setup.

I second this guy. Bang for buck it's hard to beat. I bought my girlfriend a Vortex harness and I like the Alps Better. I can draw back and shoot like it's not even there.

AGC Kodiak CUB with max pocket, because room for everything. If I'm going to strap a little pack on my chest I'm going to take advantage of carrying capacity.

I never regret having more room than I need, but can't stand not having enough. After all these years I've developed the basic discipline not to over pack and carry more than I need.

I also carry my Exo 4800 as my day pack.

I've tried both the RYO bino harness and AGC Kodiak Cub. I wear the RYO if I'm just out on a day hike and want something lightweight. For hunts I take the AGC. Harness is comfy under a heavy pack and taking the binos in/out is easy.
Back pocket easily fits a Tyto with extra blades, InReach goes in the front pocket and some random other small stuff in the sides.

Give Marsupial Gear a good look,I am very happy with the 2 I have 1 is large and I have Swaro 10x50 EL they were very tight at 1st but they are much better now. The 2nd pair is small with Swaro 8x32 EL and plenty of room both very comfortable and the range finder and small zip pouches are perfect size for My Leica 1000R and the pouch holds my in reach mini great as well as most GPS units. I keep tags in front zipper pouch and cell phone in rear net. Great Guy to deal with. Also have rain cover for small and it futs andworks great stays on all thetime and it cant fall off.
