Bino Harness Recommendation

When I got my first bino harness from Crooked Horn Outfitters many years ago, it was a complete game changer over the old(er) school neck strap. Then I saw bino chest packs and thought to myself, "Holy crap, that has all of the benefits of the crooked horn, but with protection and storage.....I'm in!" I did my research, and ended up with a great set up from AGC. Durability, functionality, etc. However, several things have happened as I've gotten older: 1) I've grown clumsier with age, 2) I miss the convenience of the original crooked horn setup, and 3) this goes along with #1.....the same reason I use a vest instead of chestpack while fly fishing, my clumsiness is amplified when I can't see my feet!! One last thing that has happened as I've gotten older....I finally got the alpha glass I've been waiting for, so I want them protected, but I need something closer to the chest, more low profile, etc. I am going back and forth between the Kuiu, Eberlestock ad the Swarovski. The main reason is because they seem to be pretty low profile, having no pockets on the outside of the bino pocket. These choices are merely what 15 minutes of research have brought to my attention, but my question is.....is there anything out there that is close to being as low profile as the original Crooked Horn setup, but still provides protection?

The kuiu is great assuming it fits your binos. It’s kindof an odd shape and doesn’t fit all binos great, but is a perfect harness for certain options.

FWIW, the FHF FOB is a fantastic harness and is very low profile. I just got one and it’s a great option.

I went with stone glacier skyline for a lighter-weight harness. It's been good. I need one more harness for the kids, and I think I'll try a T&K before deciding which one I give the kid.

I have a marsupial no mag and a acg ravus. I like the lower profile of the marsupial but I like the extra room of the acg. I use the acg for my rf binos and the marsupial for my sig zulus.

Another vote for marsupial.

Forward opening and magnetic closure.

Got sick of $1500 binos falling out of the stupid Vortex ones.

The stone glacier one is the lowest profile I have owned. It doesn't offer as much protection because of it though...

I'm now using the FHF FOB it's pretty low profile but I wish I went with a Marsupial Gear. The Marsupial is significantly cheaper and I prefer the way they open.

I thought both the fhf and the marsupial opened the same. What’s the difference?

Does anybody know if the rare earth magnets in the front and back of the fhf harness has any effect on range finding binos or any other electronic gear you’d have near them?

They’re a little different. The FHF has a hinge point in the center of the lid and is easier to fold down completely out of the way and get to stay out of the way. Then is segmented into 3 sections to allow for this to happen.

I’ve had 2 marsupials and love them, but I decided to try the FHF for my B6’s and couldn’t be happier.

Tried the SG and didn’t like how it had zero protection

Love the mag marsupial case ran that for 3 years but recently swapped to the no mag setup from them. Zero regrets
