Hey guys, I know many of you have seen the multiple posts I have had in the past regarding finding the perfect bino harness.... I think I found the one that is perfect for me.... THINK hahaha

Yesterday I got the OPW bino bro in the mail. Here I my first impressions...

1) Very well built, I was worried about the cost being low meaning that it would not be quality... that is just not true. Very nice fit/finish all the way.
2) Waterproof, no rain cover needed
3) Lid opens forward and stays open, but can be locked into place with the elastic cord.
4) Quiet, not as quiet as the KUIU, but way more quiet than FHF
5) Harness is adjustable for torso length... ONLY bino harness with this feature
6) Harness is attached to the cover, my main complaint with KUIU
7) The pocket side for wind check makes it easy to get in and out
8) The pocket on the other side works PERFECTLY with the clip on my rangefinder
9) The Pocket on the bottom is actually usable, I will be putting my mouth calls in that baby... Finally a good place to carry them.
10) Cheap: $58 bucks compared to 85-140 for other models.

I honestly think this is the one. I am taking some time figuring out getting the binos in with one hand right now, but I think it is a familiarity issue more than a design issue... It took me a long time to figure out the FHF harness one handed. I am hunting mule deer this friday-sunday. Will be a mix of long hikes and longer horse rides... I will report back after some field use. I am actually kind of sad, i really like the FHF gear one.

I think that this is the case that KUIU wants to be. I am realizing after using it that KUIU's design is suspiciously similar to the bino bro, hmmmm... not to start that issue again hahaha.

Basically it is the SAME harness as the KUIU that everyone seems to have a severe man-crush over, except it is 30 bucks cheaper, waterproof, and much more user friendly.

TRY IT OUT

Whats the deal with pro? Whats the diff? Do they ever have other color options available do you guys know?

You mind posting any pics or vids?

Glad you like it joe. It is exactly what you were describing you wanted.hopefully this one sticks.

Can you take a handful of pictures of the unit. I went to the website and there is only three and it just shows the one side with no different angles.

I will post up some pics tonight guys. THis is the prohunter... it has the zippered pocket on the bottom and the wind check holder and small pocket on the side.

Did you super glue it on? Or does it have a strong adhesive backing? Thanks Joe

The wind puffer holder is on the wrong side I hold my bow in my left hand and puff with my right lol. Being that most people are right handed kinda think they should switch sides.

Looks pretty nice and I like the price point probably going to buy them to try out.

That looks like another great option. Thanks for bringing this to light. I've been debating on getting the FHF, but haven't looked much into the kuiu. I like the bottom zip feature.

I think you mentioned it that the torso length is adjustable. So, you could bring the whole system up higher on your chest?

If you're right handed you have to hold your range finder with your right because your bow is in the left. If your rangefinder takes priority then the wind checker has to default to the left.

If you called them and ordered it from them, they will set it up however you want it. They are very easy to work with

Can they make them in other colors does anyone know?

Also does anyone know how the binos attach. The top strap is attached to the harness (as it should be) it looks like... so are the binos just sitting in there? No straps from the binos to the harness or webbing?

I want to try this unit.

No straps from the binos on mine. I used mine last year and it's a keeper. Have a crooked horn Bino hub and I prefer the Bino Bro.

From what I have seen on their YouTube videos they are just sitting in there. The video I saw had the normal neck strap that comes with the binos attached and that's what held them in from not being lost.
