Biggest horns you’ve seen on a doe?

Going way back to 2013 I was hunting near Gillette Wyoming. We were sharing a big private piece of ground with another pair of guys, and happened to cross paths with them coming down a two track. After a quick chat they told us there’s nothing but a “small buck” laying down in the middle of a plowed field. According to them it was way too far to shoot anyway. We decided to go take a look anyway, and what I found was this huge doe bedded down right in the middle of the field, far enough out that she felt safe I guess. I ranged her at 587 yards, and it was one of those rare instances out there where there was next to no wind at all. I sent a 105gr VLD from my 6mmSLR and she never moved from her bed.

Those two guys were watching from a half mile away, and when we bumped into them again later that day they couldn’t believe I made that shot, but asked why I’d “waste my buck tag on that?” They were shocked when I showed them it was a doe. They didn’t have enough magnification to see she didn’t have any cheek patches I guess, but they could see the horns.

I’ve been out west 4-5 times hunting antelope so I’m no expert, but this is the biggest set of horns I’ve ever seen on a doe. Have any of you seen bigger? IMG_0021.jpegIMG_0154.pngIMG_6970.jpeg
