AWESOME BUCK EPIC! I have been looking for a buck of that caliber for years in Nwest Mt and he has continued to elude me...I find their sheds but not them in person Very cool buck MT100 that type of dense vegetation looks all too familiar....congrats!

Thanks Ross. I didn't spend as much time in the thick stuff this year as I have in the past but walking up on this guy was a good reminder of how quickly a day can turn around....that morning I helped a friend (former boss) get his first elk; a really nice cow. He spent all of 30 minutes hunting elk in 2014. As we were loading it up I couldn't help but recall the 40+ days I had spent trying to fill my tag. I was happy for him, but was definitely feeling a bit frustrated. Thick-brush-therapy helped.
