Hello Rock Slide, I am a big and tall guy. I am having trouble finding gear for the mountains mainly due to height (I am 6'6''.) Any suggestion as to where to look. For reference I bought a pair of Kuiu wool under-layer size XL and they barely cover my calves. I don't care about brands, the gear doesn't even need to be camo. Just looking for lightweight quality layers. Thanks!

First Lite has a sale on now for 30% off their Whitetail lineup.

I'm 6'4", 260# and their XXL fits me right. The thumb loops on most their long sleeve shirts are nice for keeping them down around my wrists and keeping the chill out. I usually wear tall boots and or gaitors that keep my lower legs sealed shut.

I'm 6'5 265 and first lite fits me well. I also have some Core 4 element shirts and a Sylo Rain Jacket that fit well. On my 15 day elk trip I switched between the first light Kanabs and some nylon /lycra scent blocker camo, got the shirts, scentblocker and rain coat from Camofire on sale. I also like the wrangler outdoors stretch pants

The only merino base bottoms that I have found that are actually long enough are Minus 33, but they don't have the Talls in their lightweight merino.......only their medium weight, but they work fine even for archery season. I'm 6'6" with a 37+ inseam.

As for pants..........I'm still searching. Most company's Talls are too short these days......either a 34" inseam, or they go to 36" but then the rise is 2-3" shorter than normal.

Eddie Bauer guide pro pants or whatever they are called are nice and come in plenty of tall sizes. I wear 34/36 which is almost impossible to find. I have 3 pair and they fit me better than any other pants I’ve tried. They also have a lot of other clothes in tall sizes and have sales constantly.
