Big Agnes new MntGlo Tents...

They did a write up on these lights in the backpacker gear issue...Sounded like a pretty handy set up.

Yeah those lights are killer for sure. 3 oz is pretty lightweight yeah its bit of a GIF item but meh Im digging them.. =)

I recently received my latest Backpacker magazine in the mail, the gear guide issue, and I'm checking out that BA Rattlesnake SL2 MtnGLO. This looks kinda cool for short fishing and scouting trips this summer.

I love my BA tent, but I am not really seeing a use for this backpacking. This is exactly opposite of dual purpose. To leave my ultralight headlamp in my bag to turn on a lamp doesn't make any sense to me. I can see buying the light strip for going on campground trips where the convenience would be great.

I am going to get the eno twilights for my tipi. At 4 oz it's worth it vs carrying headlamps for the entire family. I will still have 2 headlamps but to be able to see each other in the tipi without shining lamps in each others faces is worth it to me.

I didnt get the mountain glo tent I just got a regular copper spur II and bought the 3 ounce led kit from REI for 40 dollars. Havent used it yet but am kinda excited about it instead of fumbling around with my petzel headlamp.

REI sells little lights that are less than an ounce and are under $10 that can be hung from the ceiling.
