Big Agnes length question?????

I'm about 71" tall and the regular size Big Agnes bag is rated to 70", wondering if that would probably work or should I go with the long size.

I'm 6'0" and I fit in a regular size big Agnes bag. I do sleep on my side so that helps with space. I can sleep on my back but it's a little of a tight fit. For your height I would definitely go with the regular bag. The big Agnes bags seem to have a lot more room than comparable bags I've slept in. For reference in a marmot meteor/helium I needed to go with a long bag as the regular was super tight. And that bag was sized for 72". I think you'll be fine.

I'm 6'1" and use the reg. length BA bags, also. Just long enough.

I'd get about 20 degrees lower rating than you think you'll need. I've froze my ass of in 30 degree weather in their 15F bags. Seems to me they're rated for sustaining life, not comfort. My experience anyway.

If you don't have the appropriate rated pad, you will get cold in a BA bag. There is no insulation on the back.

Yeah, the only negative review I've read on BA bags was by people not using an insulated BA pad.

I have the BA insulated pad, which does work really well, for not sliding off your pad. It's still rated way off in my experience; maybe I sleep cold.

I'm 5"11 and a regular bag fits me fine. And I agree, even with their IAC pad, add 20 deg to the rating to be comfortable. That said, I am a cold sleeper.

I've been fine at 20 degrees in my 15 degree bag with an R value 4.1 pad.
