Packing the courts and abolishing checks and balances are just a start for the Democrat Socialist Party. Now they are moving ahead with a Bill Tuesday in the House to make the District of Columbia a state, giving that leftist hood 2 Senators and 3 Congressmen. What a pathetic bunch of America hating parasites these Democrats are, attempting to seize power from we the people in every manner possible. Of course they know they won't succeed with most of it initially, but setting the stage for what is to come in the future is very important....

No Taxation without Representation seems like an argument I've heard somewhere before.

Ahhh, Don flaming Lemon approved.

The Constitution provides for the district under the exclusive jurisdiction of Congress. There is good reason for this. Not one person who lives in the district is forced to. They have direct non-voting representation in the House, and indirect from the Senate as a whole in reality. The Democrat Socialist Party simply sees this as a power grab in order to pack the Congress, being the voting block in DC is primarily made up of stinking liberals. There are also talks of splitting Wyoming and Oklahoma to counter this power move by these America hating Commies.

Call this what it is;

a huge power grab

The Democratic party made a huge left turn in the last couple of decades and the MSM is complicit. Die hard Dems are not getting the facts but instead are spoon fed edited propaganda, it’s no wonder they think the way they do.

The diehard Democrats that I talk to have no idea that Trump signed an executive order in September 2019 that revolutionized vaccine development in the US... which saved us on Covid. Obama Biden had eight years they never did that.

Or that;

The Democrats in Congress wanted to make it possible to sue meat packers during Covid, Pandering to the trial lawyers. Trump indemnified them Against lawsuits keeping them open .

A friend of a friend runs a meat packing outfit in Modesto California and they were going to shut down due to the threat of lawsuits. If it were up to the Democrats we would be standing in line for a pound of hamburger right now.

Current Democrat policy is a stealth tax on low income and middle income families, again most Democrats are uninformed to that fact.

There would be a lot less Democrats if they read an unbiased publication like the Wall Street Journal.

You mean to say the right isnt doing the same thing with voter suppression laws and gerrymandering? Dont think that only one side does it. Both try to to skew the rules in their favor. Both sides are toxic. My opinion is the 2 party system is broken.

Changing the Supreme Court is the ultimate BS move though. Hopefully they lose in the midterms. We are probably better off with a government that cant get anything done.

LOL!!!!! Ever heard of the Constitution?
Washington, D.C., formally the District of Columbia and also known as D.C. or just Washington, is the capital city of the United States. ... The U.S. Constitution provided for a federal district under the exclusive jurisdiction of U.S. Congress; the district is therefore not a part of any U.S. state.

Nobody on here is stupid. Just misguided. If you think for a second that NOW changing the SC is nothing more than a political move to ensure you get the outcome your party wants you are very very very misguided.
It’s worked fine for years and years. Obviously you want decisions to go your parties way. Pretty obvious to the folks who aren’t misguided.
From what i can tell, you are correct because every other time the supreme court changed back in the day it looks like it was for blatant political manipulation

Couldn’t agree more. The “voter suppression” argument that is ongoing by the woke Fortune 500 companies, MLB, and the media, eesh. People vote for their representatives. I don’t need a company formerly in New York or California now moved to Texas or Florida for better tax advantages telling our states how to run. That’s what the people of those states are for.

From The Nation, pretty well known as a left leaning publication. Basically bitching that Biden & Co is pandering to their base and this has no chance of going anywhere.

A perspective of the judiciary from the left point of view:

I would not trust Biden or Pelosi believe that. They would do it in a second if they could now . They are just Dong want they always do. Progressives put out a radical idea so it’s shocking than brig it back time and time again to normalize it. Biden is a weasel.
