I didn't want to steal a thread.

I'm from Northeast PA and with predator season in full swing I'm looking for new bibs or pants. The problem that I've run into is that many of the products have contradicting reviews and the cost is insane.

As a predator hunter I'm walking in and setting up for maybe 45 mins at most. I currently use some old Field & Stream insulated bibs that are bulky and the wind cuts right through them. I'm a bigger guy so I also sweat alot.

I've researched many of the major brands and just can't narrow it down. What are some of the warmer low/mid tier bibs out there that will keep you warm, block wind and not sound like 200 people shuffling? Keep in mind I'll be hunting negative to single digits at times.

I recently picked up a "like new" pair of Kryptek Aegis bibs on ebay for $85. They are insulated with primaloft, wind and water proof. Ive used them twice so far and really like them.

I have the SKRE Gear guardian bibs and coat. It's a super warm setup not really for hiking though.

Kryptek Aegis going on 9 years in Northern Canada and still cannot find an issue with them. Warm, comfortable and tough. Three way leg zippers, two way fly, pockets and will keep you dry and warm.

Cheers

I ended up ordering this set because they had the buy top get bottom free. Worst case I return it and try something else.

I save the bibs for temps in the single digits to mid teens. Above that I really like Kryptek Vellus pants. They too are wind and water proof. Plus they're light, extremely warm and whisper quiet. So warm that I don't wear them above 28° or so.
I only wish the leg zippers were full length instead of midcalf to facilitate adding and removing over boots. But that's my pet peeve for all hunting pants. Charge me more, but give me the friggin' zippers!

Update: I went with the Kryptek Aegis jacket and bibs. To say that they're amazing is an understatement. Our weather in PA has been very cold and I literally just wear long johns and a sitka shirt underneath and I'm toasty. One night I wore pants and another coat and I literally overheated.

Thank you to everyone that recommended these.
