Biathlon rifle sling

For those of you that mainly strap the rifle to a backpack or into a weapon carrier like Slik Sling, a bungee-cord might be a functional add-on.
It'll quickly lock the rifle across your chest or back so you have both hands free for a quick/silent final approach.
I find it especially useful as I also film.

Ugly as hell, but very functional....

Definitely not. Once you complete the Appleseed Project's shooting course and know how to use the sling to stabilize your shot (which cannot be done with a bungee) you will quickly realize a gun bearer from Kifaru is your best, most accessible choice for carrying a rifle.

I disagree but I didn't explain muself clearly enough.

I am VERY familiar with a loop sling and use a Slik Slik sling (same principle as Kifaru), but rifle is of little use if you cannot get to your firing position undetected. (Hence final approach)

So the bungee is for the interval between kifaru gunbearer/slik sling and up to the final firing position.
