Soak in TC no.13 bore cleaner for 1-2 minutes, wipe clean with cotton patches and clear flash hole with CVA breech plug cleaners (they’re abrasive pipe cleaners)

I had to use drill bits to get all the hard buildup out. Amazed how quickly it built up to the point it wouldn’t fire.

1/8 inch drill bit? Are you just holding the non-business end of the bit in your hand and slowly turning it manually? Thank You!

just holding a 1/8 bit in my fingers. then i will use a patch on something to get the solvent out of the channel. and then blow out the flash hole with air.

Yes, a bit smaller than the hole. I have a full index with wire sizes, so just pick one that’s smaller so I can’t cut metal. Hold by hand and get the gunk out. Don’t forget the flash hole.

Soak in solvent, while I clean the barrel. Use a drill bit and patch for inside, torch tip pin for flash hole. Scrub threads with brush.

Cleans up pretty easy.
