BFG AT alternatives

Curious if any of you do a 5-tire rotation? I have an extra set of rims for my tundra so it would be easy to add one as an extra spare.

I switched to Goodyear DuraTrac RT. I wanted something that did better in the mud. It's 10 ply, but I would have preferred 8 or 6 to save weight.

Grabber ATXs for sure. I’m on my second set on 2 trucks. I will say I get them discounted through a relative that works at General but I’ve run them and bfgs and no difference IMO. The ones I run now are actually 8 ply instead of 10 which is a good happy medium between durability but not killing ride and gas mileage

I've had bf tires, nitto tail grapple, hankook dynamo, Cooper st max, toyo r/t, and Goodyear duratrac.
Bf ko2 were by far the worst. Hard tire, doesn't eject mud, slips on dry dirt, grass and damp pavement. And they don't last. Nitto didn't do much better.

Goodyear duratrac were/are hand down the best I've experienced. Aggressive enough to clear mud but soft enough compound to grip pavement. I've had the most miles on them out of any on my 3/4 ton work truck. I put them on my 4runner hunting/weekend rig and they've been great i went with 10 ply for thicker sidewall. A little overkill, but it's rather have too much than not enough on sharp rocky terrain.
They're pretty expensive but you get a lot longer lifespan and better performance

I have toyo r/t on my work truck now and they've been pretty darn good on and off road.

I have the discount tire brand Rocky Mountain AT right now, I know what you’re thinking but these have been amazing, and super cheap. I’ve had them on for 18 months and this is the second hunting season I’ve used them and they have been great. Very quiet and been great for towing my little 15’ camper up wet muddy dirt roads. Traction has been great and the price is unbeatable. I was a little skeptical but these have totally delivered and I will be getting them again. I’ve historically ran Toyo MTs, Firestone Destination MTs and these perform with each and are much quieter, more comfortable, and with better mileage.

I’ve owned Jeep Wranglers since 1994 and have tried other tires here and there and have always been disappointed. I won’t bother with anything other than BFGs anymore.

I've been looking at the Duratrac RT and the Wildpeak AT4W to replace the terribly noisy and crappy tires that came on my truck. I've had several sets of the Falkens in the past and never had an issue with them through hunting seasons and ND winters. Last General Grabbers I had seemed pretty loud also, but that was probably 10 years ago. Other than the noise they were good tires though.

Running Wildpeak AT4Ws on my wife's lifted Gx460. We're doing 5 tire rotation and so far they've worn very well. They have high rolling resistance so not great for mpg and they're a little loud. Other than these nicks though they've been good tires.

I put a set of used Toyo Open Country RT Trail on my '09 Duramax, and after around 7k miles they've been fantastic. Worn like iron, great traction in wet, ice, snow, and reasonably quiet for a fairly aggressive 35. My daughter and I drove over 4,000 miles on them in May on a trip out west and into BC and Alberta and they were great.
