We have all heard that phrase " beware the man with one gun , because he knows how to shoot it " Well lets see everyone's " go to tried and true " one gun. Here is mine. Tikka 7mm RM. Custom muzzle brake , reduced trigger spring, limbsaver recoil pad topped with a vortex 3X9 with exposed turrets.

.270 Winchester Walmart special my father got me 20+ years ago with a leupold 3x9 ( just as old as the gun). No after market modifications. Have killed all my big game animals with it.
Thought about getting something different a few times, but it has always got the job done and has sentimental value.

Browning A-Bolt chambered in .270 Winchester. My uncle killed roughly 20 elk and 30 mule deer with it going back to the '80s. He gave it to me in the early 2000's and said just shoot 130 grain Remington CoreLokts or of it, it loves them, and it does. I killed my first elk with it after I moved to Wyoming, and loved to shoot that gun so much I sold my Weatherby.

I've been on a trading & buying roll lately & ended up nearly doubling my rifle options.

Gun to my head, if I had to only keep one of my current stable, it'd be my ultra classyView attachment 294254 case color hardened, walnut M70 in 6.5 Swede.

How do you like the swede ? I know in NA it didnt take off near as much as it did in the EU. Beauty rifle though. How short is that barrel ?

This is my third (although one was a long range, bench rifle) & I had this un cut to 20", like the first.
Hands down my favorite all round chambering. There's nothing in the US is hesitate to hunt with the Swede. It out performs the 6.5Manbun by a couple hundred fps at all barrel lengths. It's only perceived downside is that it needs to be chambered in a long action. It's the easiest cartridge, other than .308 I've loaded for & brass is super cheap.

How do you like the atlasworx shroud ? I have one on order and just waiting on it to arrive

I bought one because I scratched up the stock one with pliers... like an idiot not knowing how to take the bolt apart. It seems well done, but I don’t know what I’ve gained over the stock shroud aside from looks.

Not my only rifle, but the only rifle I hunt with. It's in Creedmoor which I think is a nice middle ground cartridge.
