Besides the Sitka Mountain Jacket and a dedicated rain shell, what else is out there that works as a lightweight windPROOF shirt/jacket? What do y’all use?

I have this for hunting. (I found it online for $60ish.)

I used to use a Patagonia houdini for running, but will use this instead as it’s more breathable. Also have the Patagonia airshed for running but it’s a really niche piece. There are a bunch of these type of wind layers out there now.

Does the kor airshell stop the wind pretty well?

Sitka made Wind shirt a while back that I like use. OR makes a shell called a ferossi that is a nice stretchy wind shirt too. I have only had mine out 2x but it is on par with a Sitka mountain jacket, has a hood and can be had for under $100 on sale.

I’ve got two Sitka Flash pullovers for sale if you are interested- one medium one XL. Great windshell and will shed water ok in a right rain

Is this quite enough for bowhunting?

I like the Marmot Trail Wind, but it’s not camo so may not be ideal as an outer layer depending on your need.

I hunt a lot in Oklahoma, so 10-15 mph wind is considered a calm day. I use a Sitka Jet Stream for a windproof soft shell or a Sitka Dew Point if rain is in the forecast. I'm a value shopper and the deals on the "2021 version" Jet Stream closeouts are hard to beat. For $179 I don't think you can find a better wind shell.

Sitka, Natural Gear, Nomad and Banded make windproof hoodies. I’m sure there are some other companies too.
Pnuma’s waypoint jacket or vest is good as well.
