What do you all use for wind? I thought I remembered a discussion about this but I couldn’t find it.

I know there is windy.app but I don’t want to spend $119/year for it but I will say it’s an awesome app.

Anything close to that in a free version?

windy or windfinder. I prefer windfinder

windy can be used free but will limit some of the data. Depends on what you are needing

Just for reiteration. I look at 4 different weather sites every single morning while sitting on my throne at 4am. I fish the Pacific Ocean for a living. Every day. All 4 are used to make a go/no go decision. Whenever I'm on the fence or unsure. I go straight to Windy. Windy is 80% correct. If Windy says "don't fish", I cancel.
I'm that confident in that site. Rarely get burned. But, it does happen very rarely.

Windy and Windfinder for us. We fish the gulf coast and can be pretty dangerous with the wrong winds, Windfinder is usually spot on and tells me the tides also.
