Best way to pack your rifle for day trip off your shoulder.

I am looking for some options on attaching my rifle to my day pack. I have a sling but that becomes a pain keeping your rifle on your should all day. I have been looking at the KUIU rifle attachment. I do not have a KUIU pack so not sure that will work. Wanting to hear your ideas or modifications for keeping it close, but not on my shoulder. I like the idea under the arm attached to the shoulder strap. I have shoulder mounted fanny pack. Anything would help. Thanks for reading.

I like the kifaru gun bearer. not sure if it would work very well with a fanny pack though

Hard to beat a Kifaru Gun bearer. Took me a while to get used to it but now I dont know what I'd do with out it.

I made myself a sling out of some 1" webbing and 3-bar sliders that allows me to adjust the length. I can also "split" the two lengths of webbing and wear each over a shoulder in backpack style and the rifle rides in the middle of my back. Just an option for a simple solution. I'll see if I can get some photos of the setup.

This is pretty simple but does work very well. My buddy hauls his crossbow with it too.

the best thing you can do for your shoulder is get one of these slings.

they dont slip and they make your rifle feel like it has been on a diet all summer.
