How are you guys going about finding reputable outfitters for hunts? I don’t have enough time to scout for out of state hunts and feel like I’m wasting money, time, years, etc going DIY.

Mostly interested in antelope, mule deer, elk.

You can check with a broker like hunt nation or world trophy adventures. They have agents you can talk to that will help find the right fit for you. Supposedly they drop outfitters that dont deliver what they sell. A lot of outfitters use them to help filter calls and handle the sales portion of the business.

The best outfitters have a return base of clients and are booked 2-3 years out. Generally outfitter client references swing both ways, successful hunters give good reports and unsuccessful hunters may not give good reviews. I have used WTA several times and have had a good experience on several elk hunts.

Talk to your buddies. Best way is a friend, or a friend of a friend went with them. My circle is like a revolving door of guys referrering other guys to places and the only bad hunt we have all went on was my pick, using a hunt finder tool, and we still made it a good time.

You wanna be buddies @TSAMP? I don’t have any buddies that go west unfortunately and I won’t judge you for bad hunt choices 🤣

Funny. Oddly enough once you get good outfitters, like good spots. You keep them in your circle. As stated above most those ones get booked up quick.

That being said. What species are you after. I'd PM you if I have something.

Antelope, mule deer, and elk mainly but have a few others I’m interested in. I appreciate the honesty and no worries if the circle is tight, I get it! Shoot me a PM if you want to talk more.
